Registered Massage Therapy in East Vancouver
Personalized RMT care at Cedarwood Therapy on Commercial Street. Our registered massage therapists work with your goals, whether you are managing muscle tension, seeking support during pregnancy or postpartum, or looking to improve comfort and mobility.
From your first conversation to the pressure used during treatment, your appointment is built around your concerns, preferences and comfort. You can book online through Jane and choose the practitioner and appointment type that fit your needs.
Massage therapy tailored to you
There is no single approach that suits every body. You may be looking for focused attention to your neck and shoulders, care for an area that feels tight after activity, or a quieter session centred on relaxation. Tell your RMT what has brought you in and what you would like to focus on.
Your practitioner will discuss your health history and relevant concerns, explain the proposed treatment and ask for your consent. Pressure and techniques can be adjusted throughout the appointment. You can ask questions, change position, pause or stop treatment at any time.

Registered Massage Therapy
Our general RMT appointments provide time for assessment and hands-on treatment. The approach may include Swedish massage, deeper pressure or myofascial techniques, depending on your assessment and preferences. “Deep tissue” does not have to mean maximum pressure; your RMT will work within your comfort.
Prenatal & Postpartum Massage
Pregnancy and the weeks and months after birth can change how you rest, move and carry out everyday tasks. These appointments offer space to discuss your stage of pregnancy or postpartum recovery, positioning preferences and areas you would like addressed. Let your practitioner know about any pregnancy-related concerns or advice from your maternity care provider.
TMJ / Jaw Massage
For people seeking attention to jaw and facial muscle tension, Selina offers Buccal / TMJ Treatment. Your appointment may include work around the jaw, neck and upper back. Any work inside the mouth is explained beforehand and used only with your consent. Massage does not replace a dental assessment when one is needed.
Manual Lymphatic Drainage / MLD
Gina offers dedicated manual lymphatic drainage appointments. This is a gentle, specific hands-on approach rather than a deep-pressure massage. Share your health history and the reason for booking so your practitioner can discuss suitability. If you are seeking care after surgery, check with your surgical team and the practitioner before booking.
Hot Stone & Facial Massage
Selected practitioners offer hot stone massage, and Gina offers facial massage and facial lymphatic massage appointments. These are distinct booking options with their own session details. Facial massage provided by an RMT is separate from facial acupuncture.
See our Services page for treatment descriptions, current rates, practitioners and direct booking links. Offerings vary by practitioner, so select the specific treatment you want when booking.
Your first appointment
Complete the intake information requested by Jane before your visit and bring any questions you would like to discuss. Your first session includes a conversation about your health history and goals, an assessment relevant to your concerns, and treatment where appropriate. The booked appointment time includes assessment and discussion as well as hands-on care.
You and your RMT will discuss positioning, draping and the areas to be treated. Only the area being worked on is uncovered as appropriate, and your preferences matter throughout the session. Your practitioner may also discuss practical self-care or follow-up options based on your assessment.
Rates, insurance & ICBC
Standard RMT appointments and dedicated treatments may have different durations and rates. Visit the Services page or Jane for the exact appointment options and fees. RMT rates are subject to 5% GST.
Direct billing is available for participating insurers, subject to your plan and insurer requirements. Coverage and reimbursement vary; please confirm your benefits with your insurer. For ICBC bookings, choose the appropriate ICBC appointment and contact the clinic to confirm claim details and any applicable user fee.
